Content Guidelines

What Makes a Good Comment

  • Helpful and relevant - Directly addresses the thread topic or question
  • Natural mention - Your product/service fits organically in the context
  • Provides value first - Answers the question before any promotion
  • Conversational tone - Reads like a real person helping another
  • Appropriate length - Thorough but not overwhelming (50-200 words ideal)

What Will Get Rejected

  • Blatant ads - "Check out our amazing product at..."
  • Off-topic promotion - Mentioning your service where it doesn't fit
  • Misleading claims - Exaggerated or false statements about products
  • Spam-like content - Generic, copy-pasted, or robotic language
  • Multiple links - Keep it to one relevant link maximum
  • Affiliate/referral links - No commission-based links allowed
Comment Examples
Good Example - This would be approved

Thread: "What tools do you use for project management?"

"We tried a bunch of different tools before settling on one. Honestly, the biggest factor for us was how well it integrated with Slack since that's where our team lives. We've been using [ProductName] for about 6 months now and it's been solid - the Kanban boards are intuitive and the automation features save us a ton of time on status updates. Happy to answer any specific questions if you're evaluating it!"

✓ Why it works: Provides context, shares genuine experience, helpful tone, offers to engage further

Bad Example - This would be rejected

Thread: "What tools do you use for project management?"

"You should definitely check out [ProductName]! It's the best project management tool on the market. Visit our website at [link] to get started with a free trial today! Use code REDDIT20 for 20% off!"

✗ Why it fails: Pure advertisement, no value, promotional language, includes discount code
